Share expected and observed check construction across MZ, COM, and raw-binary attestations. Preserve format-specific rules and source coordinates, and derive mapping callback types from the recording owner.
Centralize parse-wide identity and coverage facts while keeping conservative admission values separate from measured rows and counters. Reuse the derived truncation reason and retain the final serialization bound.
Tighten the report-budget regression so unexpected parser finalization errors cannot be swallowed by its budget search.
Carry caller messages through the existing schema issue owner instead of constructing and discarding an intermediate input error. Remove forwarding schema helpers and migrate equivalent constructors across investigation, firmware, dylib, process, and screenshot workflows while preserving diagnostic paths and causes.
Validate canonical dimension ownership, summary counts, and exact changed or unknown projections before investigation consumers publish derived Evidence. Reuse the shared dimension contract in selectors and keep historical source fixtures internally consistent.
Verify authentic malformed comparisons across all three MCP consumers while preserving valid reordered and unknown results and retained source Evidence.
* fix(javascript): report recovery inputs that collide on a case-insensitive filesystem
* test(javascript): cover a recovery input selected twice on any filesystem
* test(javascript): cover snapshot collision causes and unrelated write failures
Require Node.js ^22.23.4 || ^24.22.1 || >=26.12.1 across package engines, setup/doctor and the standalone installer. Validate patch boundaries and maintain runtime-independent listener identity, heap-option and HTTP schema-binding tests.
Closes#6283
Refs #6480
BREAKING CHANGE: Node versions below 22.23.4, 24.22.1 and 26.12.1 are no longer supported. Upgrade Node before installing or updating REA; the installer does not upgrade Node.

* fix(lifecycle): reject session work once close has started
Process shutdown closed the shared binary session without sealing it, so a
stdio tool call could open a provider after that close and leave the child
running. GDB ran a queued console command or a second close after the session
had started closing because the queued turn did not repeat admission checks.
Shutdown now refuses later target acquisition, and a queued GDB command or
duplicate close fails as unavailable once its turn finds the session closing
or gone.

The EVM interface failure translator grouped the stable reader's input
limit with path and format refusals, so a carrier over the fixed 4 MiB
input allowance surfaced as a non-retryable invalid_request whose only
record of the allowance was issue text pointing at the input schema.
The same refusal now returns a non-retryable resource_constraint with
resource file-size and reported_limits.maximum_input_bytes, following
the WABT input translator, while path and format reader refusals stay
input errors. The reply-size write failure keeps its own branch.
Fixes#6053
capture-process recorded exit.code 0 for a target a scenario event killed
with SIGKILL or SIGTERM, beside the nonzero exit.signal. The result builder
and the retained observation each kept any nonnegative PTY exit code for an
exited capture without consulting the signal; only finalization checked it.
Project the exit once in captureExitObservation, whose normal exit code is
null when a nonzero signal ended the target, and use the same rule for
finalization. Normal exits keep their codes, including 0 and 3, and deadline
exits remain null.

`mcp doctor --format` and `--format=` reported VALIDATION_ERROR
"Invalid output format: missing", although docs/cli.md documents
MISSING_OUTPUT_VALUE for valued output flags without a value and
`capabilities` already returns it. Classify absent and empty values as
missing, share the existing missing-value message, and keep
VALIDATION_ERROR for a present but unsupported format.

Check the ARM/Thumb success marker with the runner-provided grep -F. The real Ghidra probe succeeded, but the previous rg dependency made the lane exit 127.
Validated with the actual workflow shell, producer-failure and missing/incorrect marker controls, 17 focused tests, and hosted Ghidra 12.1.4 / JDK 21 compilation and ARM/Thumb context checks.
Inject interrupts through imported projection and Evidence resolution boundaries so lexical service calls cannot bypass the test. Preserve exact normalized partial results, authenticated Evidence provenance and signal exit codes.

Require parsed seed facts in the pure trace projection and leave raw request defaults at the shared workflow boundary. Remove the redundant seed parse, unused raw-seed alias and duplicate seed-match binding.
Move omitted-versus-explicit defaults and full Evidence identity checks to compiled CLI/MCP acceptance. Reuse the owned MCP fixture and request files in the tests. Matching, native handoff, empty-literal, coverage and immutability checks remain covered; public schemas and successful outputs are unchanged.
Return expected source and semantic failures from the runtime input owner as tagged Results. Bind source schema validation to concrete schemas, preserve nested active-capture paths, and let unexpected interpretation and derivation failures reach the adapter boundary.
Remove broad protocol-error wrappers, duplicate active identity validation, and redundant JSON result parsing. Migrate parsed-fact consumers and retain CLI/MCP contracts. Relevant source and public-boundary tests pass; six injected implementation-fault controls fail on the prior revision. Live Electron behavior was not exercised.
Route CLI and MCP coverage requests through the shared strict workflow boundary before authenticating source Evidence. Preserve canonical advertised schemas, use integrity errors for malformed source bundles, and use the workflow operation for input diagnostics.
Remove the unused throwing domain facade and keep semantic fixture assertions on the parsed Result APIs. Validate compiled CLI and stdio MCP parity, strict request rejection, domain authority/time semantics, generated schemas, and unexpected failure propagation. No external providers execute in these checks.
Separate source corruption and selected-role errors from unexpected derivation failures. Normalize coordinates before body membership and conflict checks, reuse parsed requests, and account for outer observation arrays before validation copies.
Authenticate inventory requests once before family projection, remove obsolete schema aliases and raw facades, and preserve unresolved occurrence references from partial pages without fabricating content identities.
